operated Mr. Everything Super Deli for 16 years. Prior to learning about the Atlanta Micro Fund, The Smith’s lacked access to traditional business funding sources, which slowed their ability to improve the deli’s shop. Since working with the AMF staff, Mr. Everything has received three micro business loans, which allowed them to replace old equipment, and move across the street to a location with a sit-down eating area. Mr. Everything is a terrific success, and is a stable enterprise in a rapidly redeveloping community.

Originally, Mr. Everything, operated its business in a distressed neighborhood, and targeted college students primarily, unfortunately this led to slumping sales whenever students went on vacation, and small profit margin due to their target audience’s lack of discretionary income. Recently this area has undergone a massive redevelopment effort led by a Federal and Municipal collaboration. Mr. Everything has relocated across the street to a commercial space with dining capacity, surrounded by new housing developments, and other commercial retailers. This has introduced a more diverse clientele generating growth in sales throughout the year. In addition, Mr. Everything has been able to offer more expensive and novelty sandwiches on its menu, thus generating increased earnings and a greater profit margin. This has all lead to increased revenue.

Mr. Everything Super Deli added its first franchise on September 1, 2009. The Deli is located in a brand new shopping plaza in an upscale area at 2220 Jonesboro Road, in Fayetteville, Georgia.
